As Dour Festival’s 25th birthday approaches, there is no sign of slowing in the great festivals we create. The rock line-up, with Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips, Bon Iver and Ministry, has never been so strong, while the electro, hip-hop, reggae and metal line-ups also contain extreme high-points and several niche gems.
With 128,000 tickets sold, the sales have been higher than average. There are just 3 days remaining until the festival opens its doors, and it’s now pretty much certain that 2012 is going to go down in the festival’s history.

House of Pain are an American-Irish hip-hop group who produced three albums at the beginning of the 90s, from which their most famous hit is the track Jump Around. The singer and frontman of the group, Everlast, decided to pursue a solo career, bringing about the end of the group in 1996. DJ Lethal also pursued his own musical career as part of the group Limp Bizkit.
Following a 14 year absence, in August 2010, the group announced their long-awaited reformation. This year, they are celebrating the release of a new album and will be at Dour Festival for their unique and exclusive Belgian show of the year.
Other confirmations will be announced in the coming weeks.
