TELE TICKET SERVICE nv is manager of a ticketing platform, which it puts at the disposal of its client. It is a processor of personal data with regard to its client and as such enters into an agreement with its client.

In which way do we collect your personal data?

We collect your personal data in different ways:

– Directly from you: the data you provide when purchasing tickets, creating an account, registering an offer, i.e. during every contact you have with our ticketing platform, is processed by us. 

– Through the use of our websites and apps: 

  • Tele Ticket Service uses cookies in order to make the website function correctly, measure and analyse site usage anonymously. 
  • To deliver the best possible online experience, tailored to your profile, data related to the use of the website are collected and analysed using a tracking cookie. 
  • Third parties, such as promoters, organisers, advertisers and so on, also have the option of setting tracking cookies. They do this to be able to show you tailor-made ads, but also to use your surfing behaviour in their communication once you leave our website(s).

– Via our client (e.g. in the context of competitions)

What do we use your personal data for?

We use your data to correctly process your ticket purchase and provide correct access to the event (scanning and access control).

We only pass on your data to third parties if you have given your consent. A third party is, for example, the organiser of the event for which you have recently purchased tickets.

Your right to access and control your personal data

You have the right to access your data, the right to correct it, the right to oblivion, the right to restrict processing and the right to transfer the data. You can object to processing, and you have the right not to be subject to decisions based on automated processing. 

You will need to exercise these rights in relation to our client, in particular on the website of the venue(s) where you wish to attend or have attended events.

Extended privacy statement

Tele Ticket Service attaches the utmost importance to your trust. This also applies to the way we handle your personal data. This privacy statement aims to inform you about this in detail.

1. Who are we?

2. In what ways do we collect your personal data?

We collect your personal data in different ways.

1) Directly from you

The data we collect is mainly provided to us directly by you. For example, data is stored when you purchase tickets, create an account, register an offer, or during any contact you have with our ticketing platform.

2) Through the use of our websites and apps

When you visit www.teleticketservice.com, you can browse the website anonymously and access important information without your identity being revealed. 

Tele Ticket Service uses cookies to improve your user experience. A cookie is a small amount of data sent by the web server to your browser, which can only be read by the server that sent the data to you. The cookie acts as your identification card: it records your passwords, purchases and preferences. Some cookies are essential for this website to function correctly, while others make it possible to measure and analyse site usage anonymously. 

Our website uses more cookies that are not essential, but useful. This way, you are offered the most relevant information based on your profile.  Third parties, such as our event partners, also have the ability to measure your browsing behaviour to tailor their communications to you. You can manage these yourself.

3) Via our client

In certain situations, we do not receive the personal data directly from you, but through our client. They ask us to process your data in order to send you your tickets. An example is a competition in which you participated. In this case, we receive your data from our client (who receives them himself via the relevant competition organiser). Your data will not be used for purposes other than the processing of the tickets.

3. What personal data will be processed?

It involves the following data: 

– Personal contact data: name, address, telephone number, e-mail, country and language. These are the data you provide to us yourself when you purchase a ticket.

– Payment and billing data: this data is stored in order to process your order.

– Information about the use of website/apps and other applications (e-mails). This information is used anonymously for analysis purposes.

– Information we obtain through our client, e.g. assigned membership numbers for the purpose of applying discounts. 

– Date of birth, as we are required by law to obtain parental consent for minus-13-year-olds and for the purpose of age verification at certain events. 

– Based on scanning and access control, we process whether and when you attended the event.

Tele Ticket Service uses social media plugins. These plugins allow you to share content on social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. The social networking sites referred to realise and manage the social media themselves. These social networking sites may well place cookies on your (mobile) device once you have clicked on these buttons. Tele Ticket Service is not responsible for the applications made by those companies using those buttons. For an overview of the cookies Tele Ticket Service uses, we refer to our cookie policy. 4. Lawfulness of processing

A processing of personal data may be lawful on several grounds.

  • Execution of the agreement

If you buy a ticket, then obviously some processing of personal data must be carried out for the purpose of handling this transaction. Given that TELE TICKET SERVICE is only a processor of personal data, your data belong to our client.

  • Consent 

In the case of minus-13-year-olds, express consent is requested from a person authorised with parental authority.

  • Legal obligation

Certain processing of personal data must be carried out for the purpose of complying with legal obligations, e.g. accounting obligations.

  • Legitimate interest

Personal data may be used by us for the purpose of detecting or avoiding crimes. TELE TICKET SERVICE has carried out a careful balancing of interests in this respect.

5. What do we use your personal data for?

  • Handling of your transaction

TELE TICKET SERVICE collects personal data in order to process your reservation and to keep you informed of the event for which you purchased tickets, among other things for the purpose of ensuring smooth proceedings. 

At the access control and box office at the venues, your data can be consulted via your tickets. This way, all kinds of questions can be processed smoothly.

If you purchase cancellation insurance, your details will be sent to Allianz so that the service (ticket insurance) can be provided. You will find Allianz’s full privacy statement here.

When purchasing tickets through a fan club or other membership platforms, such as CERA for example, the transaction and customer data will be shared in order to provide and track the (discount) codes distributed by them to their members.

We only share your data with our external service providers if this is necessary for them to provide their services to us. In this case, we enter into an agreement with them to ensure compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

  • Verification of legality of transactions

Personal data may be used by us or our partners for the purpose of avoiding or detecting crimes, such as black market ticket resale, electronic payment fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other crimes.

6. Your right to access and control your personal data

You have a number of rights concerning the processing of your personal data. You will have to exercise these rights vis-à-vis our client, in particular on the website of the venue(s) where you wish to attend or have attended events.

Nevertheless, we are happy to inform you of the content of your rights:

Right of access 

You have the right to view the data you have provided and to manage your preferences, for example regarding mailing. 

Right to rectification or deletion

You have the right to have incorrect or incomplete personal data corrected or data deleted. If your data were transmitted to third parties with your consent, these third parties will also be requested to make the requested corrections. You will be informed accordingly. 

Right to oblivion

You have the right to ask to be “forgotten” and removed from the database. In some cases, this request may be refused, for example if the data is necessary for the performance of the agreement or because of other legislation (e.g. compliance with tax regulations). If your data has been provided to third parties, your request for oblivion will also be transferred to these third parties. You will be informed accordingly.

Right of objection

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your data that is done on the basis of legitimate interest. You can also object to the processing of your data for direct marketing, including profiling. To do so, you can also use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the mail delivered to you.

Automated decision-making and profiling

You have the right not to be subject to fully automated decision-making, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, is permitted by law or has your explicit consent. If such decision intervenes, you have the right to express your point of view on it, challenge this decision or demand human intervention for this purpose. 

Right to data portability

You have the right to have provided personal data transferred to another processor in a structured, common and readable form. 

Right to complain to the regulator

If you have certain complaints regarding the privacy policy of Tele Ticket Service, you can turn to the regulator (Belgian Data Protection Authority).

7. Retention period of data

The storage period of customer data is determined by the controller and should be checked on the website of the venue where you attend an event.

8. Data security

Tele Ticket Service makes every effort to protect its customers against unlawful access to or unlawful adaptation, disclosure or destruction of the data in its possession.

To this end, the following security measures, among others, are employed:

– Technical security measures:

o Internal files are stored in a location to which (only) those persons who need to access these files in the context of processing (e.g. customer service regarding refunds, overpayment/underpayment) can access them.

o The internal ticketing applications are provided with a personalised login and password. If these applications are consulted externally, an extra username and password are required.

o Backups are taken daily and stored in different locations. These backups are kept for a minimum of 30 days to recover the data in case of loss and to ensure continuity. 

o External access to the ticketing applications is always via a secure url (https).

o Firewalls protect our internal networks from external access.

o All internal systems are or will be equipped with the necessary EndPoint Protection (Antivirus/Antimalware/….).

o All users’ passwords are stored encrypted.

o All communication between the various ticketing components is over encrypted connections.

o In case data is exchanged for testing purposes, certain data will be pseudonymised and anonymised (e.g. name, e-mail address). 

o A thoroughly developed internal privacy policy.

o Entering into agreements with third parties that have access to the database with a view to ensuring compliance with the GDPR.

9. Transfer of data to third countries

Data will only be transferred within the EU through the partners with which TELE TICKET SERVICE cooperates. 

10. Sites of third parties

This website contains links to sites of third parties. Tele Ticket Service nv has no control over these sites and is not responsible for their content, operation or practices, including their privacy policy.

11. Adjustments to the privacy policy

We will inform you by e-mail of any changes to the current privacy policy. The latest version can always be consulted on the website.
