The European Open (15 - 23 October 2016) is a brand new tennis tournament taking place in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp. Announcing the arrival of David Goffin, No. 13 in the world, is a great opportunity for the Belgian public to see their national star play on home soil. Besides Goffin, some top 15 players will provide some quality tennis. Among them Spaniard David Ferrer, No. 9 in the world, holder of 26 ATP titles and finalist at Roland Garros in 2013. Also confirmed is Frenchman Richard Gasquet, No. 12 in the world and former No. 1 in the junior rankings.
The European Open (prizemoney, 566.525 euro) is part of the ATP 250 Series. Four qualifier finalists will be added to the main draw of 28 players. The doubles tournament will run similar containing a table of 16 duos.
